CRAFT Group – Family Therapy for Addiction

Is your loved one struggling with addiction?

If you're reading this, you're likely carrying a lot—worry, frustration, maybe even guilt. Loving someone with substance use issues can feel like walking a maze without a map. You want to help. You also need to support yourself.

You're not alone here.

A different kind of support: CRAFT

Our CRAFT Support Group (Community Reinforcement and Family Training) is an evidence-based approach for partners, parents, and other loved ones of people struggling with addiction. It's practical, compassionate, and collaborative—and it works.

Instead of nagging, pleading, or ultimatums, CRAFT teaches skills that help you:

  • Communicate more effectively without escalating conflict

  • Set clear boundaries that protect your well-being

  • Encourage change—including treatment entry or reduced use—through positive reinforcement

  • Prioritize your own care, so you're steadier in the hard moments

Research shows CRAFT improves family well-being and increases the likelihood that loved ones enter treatment. It's not about controlling someone else; it's about changing the dance.

Why this group?

Because keeping it all inside is exhausting. This group offers a safe, judgment-free space to talk openly, learn strategies that work, and feel understood by people who get it.
