Jude Nesbitt, MFTC

My interest in psychology began early—friends and family often came to me for support.
My path into therapy wasn't a straight line.
As a young adult, I faced significant challenges with substances.
Through an intense, committed journey in a 12-step recovery program, I experienced a profound transformation—one that helped me reconnect with myself and chart a healthier, more intentional course in life.
During that period of growth, I also found a deep love for running and cycling, eventually completing multiple marathons. Those endurance pursuits reinforced my belief in perseverance, discipline, and the power of change.
Inspired by my own evolution, I pursued a career in psychology with the hope of helping others experience similar breakthroughs.
Over the past 25+ years, I've worked across wilderness therapy programs, residential treatment settings, and mental health organizations, gaining extensive experience supporting individuals in meaningful transformation.
My work in these environments shaped my passion for family-of-origin healing, inner child work, and understanding the deeper emotional patterns that shape relationships.
I have a bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Colorado and a master's degree in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University.
I have also completed advanced training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Relational Life Therapy (RLT). Blending personal experience with professional training, I bring a unique and grounded perspective to the therapy room—one that clients often describe as safe, steady, and deeply empathetic.
I'm passionate about my career as an individual therapist, supporting clients who want to understand themselves better, interrupt old patterns, and create more peace in their lives.
I work virtually with individuals on Thursdays, making therapy more accessible for those with busy schedules.
"If you're ready to create a stronger, healthier relationship with yourself—or to break free from the patterns that hold you back finally—I'd be honored to walk alongside you."
I offer free consultations and welcome anyone ready to begin the next chapter of their healing.
